9/24.- Nassau, Parliament Square

The public buildings of the Bahamas government overlook Parliament Square, which straddles Bay Street. Although the Bahamas achieved independence from Britain and became an independent, self-governing nation in 1973, Parliament still meets under the watchful eye of Queen Victoria, and the Prime Minister has his office in Churchill Building.
