8/15.- Tijuana, Souvenirs

In this picture you can see some souvenirs for sale in one of the shops in Tijuana.

You have to know that things for sale do not have a fixed price in Tijuana tourist shops. If you want to buy anything, you will have to bargain. Before buying, ask the price of the item at different shops, and get an idea of the prices. When you are ready to buy, ask the shopkeeper how much it is. Most of the times you should be able to get the item for less than half the first offered price. Let the shopkeeper reduce the price before making a quote. Once the price has been reduced close to what you wanted to pay, keep your quote. If the shopkeeper does not want to sell, leave the shop, and wait for the seller to call you in. Pay always in cash, and smile a lot.
