16/31.- Hoover Dam

Named after Herbert Hoover and completed in 1935, the Hoover Dam is sure to leave you in awe. It's huge. Considered one of the seven man-made wonders of the world it is about 727 feet (220 m) high and 660 feet (200 m) wide, and strong enough to hold back the Colorado River.
