17.- Key West, Sea Turtle

This photo was taken with an underwater camera, the kind that you throw away after one use. The water filters away or absorbs most of the light except for blue and green, so the camera below about 2 meters can record only blue. Red coral looks dark gray underwater, so you need artificial light to capture the rainbow down here. The sea turtle is still endangered in Florida, so if you see a turtle, don't touch it and don't bother it. Out of 1000 eggs, only 2 or 3 survive to be adults. Well, it's getting late. Let's return to the boat and get back to land!
