2.- Key West, Bed and Breakfast (outside)
The drive from Marathon takes about an hour (go
slow on Big Pine Key to avoid hurting the Key Deer
only 40 cm tall at the shoulder). When we arrive,
at about 5 p.m., we'll do the important things
first: shelter, sunset, and something to eat. We'll
arrive in the late afternoon evening and go to our
hotel: one of the scores of beds and breakfast or
small inns scattered on the island. A typical cost
is $80 to $150 a night for a room, so students will
probably want to reserve a $50 room at the Days Inn
(and share it with 3 other people. By the way,
that's me on the porch holding a cat).
