Although Port Antonio area holds some of the most exclusive resorts in Jamaica, the town of Port Antonio preserves an old fashioned look. Commercial tourism has not discovered this piece of paradise on earth ... Yet.
The ones who discovered Port Antonio long time ago are the hollywood stars. Regular visitors include Tom Cruise, who shot "cocktail" here, Whoppi Goldberg, Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, Robin Williams, and many others. Some of them have even bought properties. I do not think you will see them walking in the streets, though. Because they come here looking for a place to hide.
