3/40.- Montego Bay, souvenirs shop

"Smile Jamaica" and "tropical treasures". They could not have chosen better names for these souvenir shops. Yes, Montego Bay is a heavenly place. But it also has a problem. A big problem: tourist harassment.

Hustlers offer the visitor all kinds of "services": private tours, illegal drugs, prostitutes (male and female) ... If you ever come to Montego do not let anyone know you just arrived, you have to say you have spent more than two weeks in Jamaica. You should never say this is your first time in the island either. Hustlers know experienced tourists are not easy to cheat. Although some of the hustlers are nice and friendly people, others will try anything to get some money from you. If you do not want to have troubles, avoid the hustlers.
