2/40.- Montego Bay, Doctor's Cave Beach

Doctor's Cave Beach is where it all started. Dr Alexander Mccatty founded here a sanitarium in 1880. A few years later, after an article by the famous chiropractor H. Baker praising the beneficial effects of this resort's water was published, American and British patients flooded the resort. Unfortunately a hurricane destroyed the hotel in 1932.

Currently the beach is owned by the Doctor's Cave Bathing club. If you want to get in, you have to pay an entrance fee. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in town.
