12/22.- Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Pailas de Agua

The Rincon de la Vieja is the physical frontier for water clouds coming from the Atlantic and the Pacific regions, in north Costa Rica. The rains from the area provide water to the Guanacaste Province.

The most recent eruptions of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano date back to 1984, 1991 and 1995.
