11/22.- Rincon de la Vieja National Park, fumarolas

In the picture you can see one of the pailas. Through deep cracks on the mountain's surface, the heat is filtered to the atmosphere, where mud comes to boiling point. The pailas' smoke consists mainly of water and sulphur. The mud in the pailas is considered to have healing properties.

In the area of Rincon de la Vieja you can have a beneficial mud baths.
