19/24.- Puerto Viejo, Salsa Brava Beach

Salsa Brava and Punta Cocles beaches are the place to go surfing. From September to December, and from April to July, surfers from all over the world come to Puerto Viejo. Salsa Brava's strong waves are perfect for advanced surfers.

In the area of Puerto Viejo there are other surfing spots, like Cahuita Black Beach, and the coastline south of Manzanillo.
