26/28.- Monteverde National Park, canopy

Close to Monteverde there is another reserve you should not miss, the Santa Elena, quite a lot smaller but less crowded.

Monteverde has a good range of accommodation, but In Santa Elena you will find more options. Santa Elena also has better connections. In this area you will find hotels, lodges, bars, shops and restaurants.

The Monteverde and Santa Elena National Park is one of the greener areas in Costa Rica. If you only have time to visit one rainforest, this is the one I recommend.
