16/28.- Arenal National Park, rainforest

In this picture you can see a view of the Arenal rainforest. I do not think it can get any greener than this! Almost everywhere you look is green.

In La Fortuna town you will find restaurants, bars, internet cafes, supermarkets and shops. There are no proper nightclubs.

The most interesting thing to do after the sun sets, is going to one of the natural spa resorts. There are different price options, but they are all ok. If you join a tour to the volcano, you will be offered an extension to visit one of the spas in the region. Most of the time you get better deals with the tour agencies than at the resorts themselves. Having a hot bath with views of the volcano and its lava is one of the experiences that people who come to Arenal do never forget.
