Gaudy shops line the streets. Named after the Danish queen, Charlotte Amalie is bustling with red-faced tourists flaunting credit cards and cameras, all searching for bargains of booze, diamonds and generally anything that anyone might want . It's nice to be off the ship and explore, however.
