Salvador da Bahia is one of Brazil's top tourist destinations. The city has an international airport, the 2nd of July Airport, with daily flights to most destinations in Brazil, and with some international flights to Europe and South America. The airport can be reached by taxi, and by an airport shuttle bus.

Another way of getting to Salvador is by boat. Cruise ships regularly visit its port.

Salvador can also be reached by bus from other destinations in Brazil.
