The climate in Rio is very hot in summer (January-February), and warm in winter (July-August).

In winter night temperatures are OK, but in Summer it is almost mandatory to book an air conditioned room.

One of the things to do during a visit to Rio is drink lots of water. Even if you do not feel thirsty, you should drink lots of water every day. Juices are another of Rio's attractions. Fresh juices are available throughout the city, and should not be missed.
