You can also get to the Historical Center walking along a road that starts in a roundabout. Taking a taxi in downtown Porto Seguro may be a safer option to get to old Porto Seguro. The taxi option is also recommended on a hot day, the sun in the area is pretty strong. Once in the historical center the visit is done on foot. This is a rather small area, basically one main street with some buildings.
