36/37.- Belem, the Amazon River

Another of the recommended excursions is the Algodoal Island, where you will find the Algodoal Beach. To reach the beach, you can take a bus in Belem (3 hours), and then a boat (40 minutes). The beach, one of the nicest in Brazil, is on the fresh water lake of the Princess (Lago da Princesa).
