13/31.- Essaouira, town's gate

We are back at the Essaouira old quarter. The gate you see is one of the main entries to the old citadel.

Traveling around Morocco is much cheaper than you may expect. You will find excellent hotels for really low rates. Transport is even cheaper, especially if you take local buses. Food is quite cheap too. Essaouira is no exception. Although this is a tourist destination, I found prices not higher than in other less touristy cities. Maybe accommodation was somewhat more expensive than I expected, but food and transportation were cheap.
