12/31.- Essaouira, windsurfing

What has made Essaouira worldwide famous is its wind. The strong wind that usually blows in the bay has attracted wind surfers from all over Europe -- and beyond. If you want to try the wind surf, there are some surf schools at the beach. If you are an experienced wind surfer you may appreciate more the strong winds that blow in the beaches south of Essaouira. Later I will show you a beach famous for its wind.

As you can see in the picture, the beach of Essaouira is very popular Among locals. They spend most of the time playing on the beach, and going for a swim. Sun bathing is not a local pastime.
