31/50.- Luxor, Valley of the Kings, fields

It is not recommended to visit this part of Luxor by your own. Distances are so big! the best option is to buy a tour. Hotels in Luxor organize tours to the West Bank. Most of them do the same route. They first visit the colossi of Memnon, then the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and finally the Hatshepsut temple. Maybe you can rent a taxi and take your time to visit the temples by your own, but these organized tours are the best option. You can also rent a bike and ride here.

In the photo you can see two locals working on the fields. The fields are so green that it seems difficult to believe this is the desert. But you bet it is.
