Soccer is the number one sport in Egypt. Their teams are not very famous outside of Egypt. But when a national team or the city teams play on the TV, half the population sit in front of the TV screen (yes, I am talking about the male population).

Egyptians follow the main European leagues. If you live in Europe and your team plays in the champions league, locals will suprise you with the knowledge of your team's players.
