42/43.- Aswan, restaurant

This virtual picture to Aswan came, almost, to its end. This is the last but one photo. This one was taken in a restaurant in the town center.

Although most people in Aswan are nice and friendly, a few of them will annoy you while you stroll in the street. They will tell you they only want to be your friends, that they only want to show you their city and help you. They will ask if you need anything and invite you to drink in a typical bar. Do not trust them, just say: "la shukran". They want to earn some easy money.

Some locals will also offer you hashish. You should know that this drug is not legal in Egypt. Big signs warn foreigners about this at the airports. Penalties can be really severe. If you want to smoke some grass, you better take care who you buy it from or who you smoke it with.
