22/43.- Aswan, the tombs of the nobles
The tombs on these hills belong to princes
from the old kingdom to the Roman period. The older tombs
belong to the 6th dynasty. These tombs are decorated with colorful
scenes of the owners' biographies and scenes of everyday life.
The tombs are numbered, and Among
other's they include: number 25 (Sibni), number 26 (Mekhu),
number 31 (Sarenput II), number 35 (Pepynakht) and, number
36 (Sarenput ). The most beautiful tombs are number 31 and
number 36, with important hieroglyphics and wonderful pictures.
