17/43.- Aswan, Kitchener island

In this photo you can see a view of Kitchner's Island taken from Elephantine island. This island was given to lord Kitchner for his campaigns in Sudan. He imported trees and plants from all over the world to complete a wonderful garden. Today the island is administrated by the local government. If you ever come to Aswan and have some free time, this is one of the best places to spend it.
