5/43.- Aswan, sheesha

As you can see, in the streets of Aswan you find many picturesque sights. In this photo you can see a typical coffee shop. The man in the left is smoking a sheesha (a water pipe). The man in the bottom is one of the many shoeshines you find in the streets of this wonderful city.

When you stroll along the streets of Aswan, many locals will harass you (shoeshines, kids, souvenir sellers, "friends", etc.), all you have to do is say: no thanks ("la shukran"), and sooner or later they will leave you alone.
