S'Abanell is one of the largest beaches in the Costa Brava. It is several kilometers long. The beach is surrounded by high buildings. Some of them are hotels, other are apartments for rent, and other are apartaments for sale. The village is orientated towards a young and family tourism.
Behind the buildings in the pictures are a couple of camping sites. The area where the camping are is known as 'Els Pins' --or Pinos (= pines). You can plant your own tent, bring your caravan, or rent a bungalow. You do have to book in advance if you want to come during the high season (=Summer, especially August).
