5.- Tossa de Mar, the bay

This is the view of the bay you have from the lookout in 'Vila Vella'. As you see, this part of the Costa Brava has not been "destroyed" with the construction of high apartments buildings and hotels. The mountains that surround the old town of Tossa still show the green of its dry forests. Probably this is due to the location of the town. To get to Tossa you have to drive for more than 20 minutes along a winded road.

Current laws do not allow the construction of new buildings by the sea. If the law does not change, our grandsons will be able to see how the rest of the Costa Brava looked like before the arrival of the tourists in the 1960's.
