Buses leave every half or so for Amalfi from outside the the railway station in Sorrento. Purchase your tickets at the little shop located just outside the station. The bus ride to Amalfi is spectacular, but beware those of you who have a queasy stomach. Best not to take this bus ride on a full stomach! The road to Amalfi is narrow, windy and very busy. How bus drivers manipulate the sharp curves without hitting one another and without falling off the cliff is mind-boggling. At times it feels as if you are floating on air, that perhaps you’ve really sprouted wings or are riding a helicopter as the road disappears beneath you and the next curve tantalizes you with its vistas.
