9/38.- Budapest, Castle District Street

Buda has a long trading tradition. Its Jewish population were especially famous traders. After the construction of the Palace, many other fine houses were constructed. Unfortunately when the Turkish took the District (1526), they burned down all the houses. None of them remains today. The Baroque style houses you can see nowadays were constructed in the 18th century.
