Menu

The Sablon Square, with its beautiful Gothic Sablon church (famous, notably, for its stained-glass windows), features the statues of Egmont and Hornes, two reformed humanists who were beheaded by the Spanish Inquisition. They are surrounded by the statues of other great figures, among whom the Belgian geographer, Mercator, William of Orange and Marnix de Saint-Aldegonde.
