Here you can see one of the terraces in Passeig de Gràcia. Today this avenue is the main shopping boulevard in Barcelona. All major international chains have a shop here.
Other shopping areas in Barcelona are Portal de l'Àngel, south of Plaça Catalunya, and Portaferrissa Street, next to La Rambla, both in the center of the town.
One of the biggest shopping malls is in Diagonal Avenue with Numància Street, "La Illa", where you will find all the Spanish and many international brands.
Shops in Barcelona are open from Monday through Saturday. Most of the stores close between 14h and 16h30. If you want to go shopping on a Sunday, or on a public holiday, you can go to Maremagnum Mall, in the port area, where shops are open every day.
