5/46.- Alsace, Strasbourg, cathedral

The Strasbourg cathedral was built between the 11th and the 15th century. The tower is 142 meters high. During the French Revolution, the destruction of the tower was ordered. To save it, the inhabitants of Strasbourg put a red revolutionary bonnet on top. But the revolutionary iconoclasts did damage quite a few of the statues.
