Not far from Hoi An sits the town of Quang Ngai. A rather dull and unremarkable town, had it not taken place there one of the worst massacres during the American-Vietnam war. The Massacre of My Lai is nowadays a symbol of the cruelty of war. Many westerns visit the area to remember the historic event.
