Highway
The Karakoram
Highway is only about 500 miles long, but it traverses
some of the most picturesque and rugged terrain in the
world. From Islamabad to Gilgit is not a difficult drive
as the road follows the Indus River. After Gilgit, as the
KKH winds along the Hunza River, the journey becomes much
more difficult.
