A bit away from the main sites at Si Satchanalai, and up a small hill are two small temples, Wat Khao Phanom Phloeng and Wat Khao Suwankhiri. Although neither is particularly exceptional, the setting is quite pretty.
Both temples are set amidst the forest at the top of the hill, and have a pleasantly overgrown and deserted quality to them. The Buddha of Wat Khao Suwankhiri, seen here, looks particularly serene perched in his hilltop setting.
