28/33.- Aleppo, Qal'at Ja'bar Castle

The Castle of Qal'at Ja'bar has a long history. Its origins are not clear. Some experts think that in pre-Islamc times there was already a construction here. The current castle was built around the 11th century in times of Malik Shah.
