In this picture you can see the other big monkey typical of the rainforests in Borneo, the Proboscis Monkey. With its big nose it looks almost funnier than the Orangutan.
If things do not change in the near future the only place where one will be able to see these animals will be in wild life parks. Borneo rainforests are being destroyed at an unstoppable path in order to make room for the palm oil plantations.
Another of the one-day excursions you should not miss while visiting KK is the one to the Monsopiad Cultural Village, a display of the local Kadazan culture dedicated to a warrior who killed more than 42 enemies.
