15/43.- Shanghai, Xintiandi


One of the places to go for a drink or to have dinner is the area known as Xin Tian Di, a fashionable pedestrian area. This is also one of Shanghai's nightlife areas. Xintiandi is not far from downtown, next to Central Huaihai Road and Luban Road.

These old houses were renovated in order to host restaurants and bars. If you are looking for Western cuisine or Sophisticated Chinese restaurants, this is the place to go.

Xintiandi should be visited late in the afternoon, when locals and foreigners come here to have something to eat and drink. On weekends the areas is at its busiest.
