10/44.- Millennium Park, Crown Fountain

The second main Millennium Park highlight is this odd structure, the Crown Fountain. It's a little hard to describe, but the Crown Fountain basically consists of two large towers set at opposite ends of a black granite plaza. Giant video screens on the towers slowly scroll through the faces of hundreds of Chicagoans, while water cascades down the towers and pools in the center of the plaza. The water is quite popular on warm days, particularly with kids!
