18/48.- Southwest Florida, Sanibel Island, the Old Schoolhouse Theater

From Fort Myers you can cross over the bridge that leads to Sanibel Island. Have some money ready, as you have to pay a few dollars. Just after crossing the bridge go to the Visitors Center to your right. There you will get loads of information on accommodations, things to see and do, etcetera.

The Old Schoolhouse Theater used to be here, but it is no longer. It has moved down the block to a larger facility (160 seats), and now it is called the Schoolhouse Theater. It entertains residents and visitors with musicals and a good time.

Visit the J.N. ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge where, amongst other species, you’ll find a fine array of birds and eager bird watchers. Biking is one way to explore the island. Seashell lovers will be delighted with the vast display of seashells at the Shell Museum.
