11/30.- Indian Pictographs

You needed to be tough and resilient to withstand the dry climate where rain at times was not much more than a mirage. The agrarian Indian tribe called the Sinagua , meaning “without water”, settled here, just outside Sedona, between 1000 and 1400 and eked out a living making baskets, pottery and jewelry. They decorated the walls with interesting pictographs that depicted mythological beings and astronomical observations.
