If you want to enjoy a day on the beach in New York, I recommend Jones Beach. Its soft sand and cold waters will make your day here very enjoyable. Although families with kids also come here, most of the sunbathers are young, and good looking, people. Expect some traffic jams if coming here on a summer weekend day.
