Burgtheater
This building is
the Burgtheater, and holds the Court and National
Theater. This institution was founded in 1776 by
Emperor Joseph II, and since then is a reference for all
Theater lovers in Central Europe. It was
reconstructed after the second World War, the original
one was built from 1874 to 1888.
At our left
(following Dr k. Renner Ring) theres the University
building, and next to it the Schotten Passage, an end
stop for many tramways and an underground station. From
there theres a nice view of one of the most
wonderful churches in town: the Votive Church, lets
