11/43.- Vienna, Michaelerkirche

We’ll get to the Imperial Palace from Michaelerplatz. On this square (platz=square) there’s an interesting church: the Michaelerkirche. The church has a Romanesque origin, with Gothic add ons, and a neoclassical facade. There’s also a Baroque portal with the "Descent of Lucifer". If you come here, you can also visit the catacombs, once used as burial area.
