22/30.- Chateau of Versailles, gardens, Canal

This Grand Canal is the main axis of the park. It is more than 105 acres (44 hectares) big. At this end of the canal there is a small port, with gondolas and boats. Visitors can rent one of these boats to visit the entire canal. If you click on the photo you will see a 360 degree panorama of this site.

There is a perpendicular branch of the canal that used to link the Menagerie with the Trianon.
