20/30.- Chateau of Versailles, gardens, Bassin d'Apollon

This is the 'bassin' (=pool) dedicated to the god Apollo, the King Sun's alter ego. Behind it, you see the 5360 feet long Grand Canal. If you click on the photo you will see another nice 360 degree panorama.

The visit to the gardens can be done on foot, but I recommend the mini train. For a few Euros, you can visit the park without effort. The train visits the Grand Canal, the park, the Petit Trianon and The Grand Trianon before going back to the Chateau of Versailles. You can hop on and off as many times as you want ...
