35/40.- Verona, view from Ponte Scaligero 1

We are now on 'Ponte Scaligero' (which I will show you later). The Scaligeri reign lasted until 1405, when Verona forsook itself to the Republic of Venice. During this period Verona was an artistic and cultural center. In the 16th century Sanmicheli planned the future development of the city, he also redesigned the Arena area, which became the city center.
