28/40.- Verona, Piazza dei Signori

We are now in 'Piazza dei Signori' (not far from 'Piazza della Erbe'). In this aristocratic square you’ll find some interesting buildings:

‘The Captain Palace’, with its 16th century facade and its Sanmicheli gate. ‘The Palazzo Comune’, a Romanesque building with its Renascence modified facade. ‘The Scaligeri Palace’ (Della Scala family Palace, just in front of us), originally from the 12th century has suffered many modifications, inside this Palace Dante found refuge, as he stated in some of his books.
