26/35.- Venice, Canal Grande, San Marco view

We can see here a view of the San Marco Square from the other side of the 'Canal Grande' --we are in front of the 'Chiesa della Salute'. Unluckily the day is not very clear (it’s not clear at all!).

What has made this city famous worldwide are its gondolas. Gondolas current color and form are a result of a two centuries old law of the Republic of Venice. The law was approved to end the diversity of colors and forms, because every merchant wanted to have the more luxury decorated boat.
